Connect Copper
Connecting Copper lets Klarvyn attribute your opportunities and logged calls back to the campaigns that created them. You’ll need a Copper API key — Klarvyn registers the webhooks for you.
-
In Copper, go to Settings → API Keys and click Generate API Key. Copy the key and note which user generated it.
-
In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations, open the Copper card and fill in Copper API Key and Copper User Email — the email of the account that generated the key. Both are stored encrypted.
-
Click Connect Copper. Klarvyn validates the credentials and registers the webhooks — nothing to configure inside Copper.
-
Under Call Activity Types, check which logged activity types (e.g. Phone Call) should become call events, and save.
-
Create a test person in Copper — it appears in Contacts within seconds.
What flows in
Section titled “What flows in”- People and leads become contacts (created and updated).
- Opportunities feed attribution and reports — creation, stage changes and Open/Won/Lost/Abandoned, with the deal value.
- Logged activities of your selected types become call events on the contact.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Select call activity types — nothing is selected after connect, so no call events are recorded until you check at least one type.
- People and leads need an email or a phone number. Records with neither are skipped.
- Opportunities need a primary contact. Klarvyn matches the deal through it — opportunities without one can’t be attributed.
- The API key is tied to the user email you entered. If that Copper user is deactivated, syncing stops — reconnect with a key from an active user.
- Changed the event categories? Category changes take full effect on the webhook subscriptions when you reconnect.
- Disconnect anytime — the Copper webhooks are removed and recorded data is kept.
