Connect Salesforce
Connecting Salesforce lets Klarvyn attribute your opportunities and calls back to the campaigns that created them — with nothing to configure inside Salesforce.
-
In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations and open the Salesforce card, then click Connect Salesforce.
-
Sign in with your Salesforce login in the popup and approve access. That’s it — no setup inside Salesforce.
-
Review Event Sync Settings: Contacts & Leads, Opportunities and Calls & Meetings are the three categories you can toggle.
-
Create or update a test lead in Salesforce — it appears in Contacts within a couple of minutes.
What flows in
Section titled “What flows in”- Leads and contacts become contacts (created and updated, with a change log on the contact timeline).
- Opportunities feed attribution and reports — creation, stage changes and won/lost, with the opportunity amount.
- Salesforce events and logged calls become call events on the contact.
Klarvyn syncs changed records automatically every couple of minutes — so expect a short delay rather than instant updates.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The sync is forward-looking. Records that existed before you connected appear once they’re next modified in Salesforce; there is no historical import.
- Contacts need an email or a phone number. Records with neither are skipped.
- Opportunities need a contact role. Klarvyn attributes an opportunity through its primary contact role — opportunities without any contact role can’t be tied to a contact and are skipped. Make it a habit (or a Flow) to set contact roles.
- Won/lost follows the stage’s real Closed/Won flags, not the stage name. A custom stage named “Closed Won” that isn’t actually flagged as won won’t register as won.
- Calendar events and logged calls must be linked to a lead or contact (the Name / WhoId field) to sync.
- Disconnect anytime — syncing stops, recorded data is kept, and reconnecting the same org picks up where it left off.
