Connect Reddit Ads

Connecting Reddit Ads brings daily spend per ad into Klarvyn, and sends conversions back through Reddit’s Conversions API.

1. In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations → Reddit Ads and click Connect Reddit Ads account. Log in and approve access — accounts come in through your Reddit businesses. Turn on Sync for the ones you use on the Accounts tab.

2. Add the tracking template. Copy it from Link Builder → Paid ads → Reddit Ads:

   kv_adid={{AD_ID}}&kv_rdt_cid={{CAMPAIGN_ID}}&kv_rdt_agid={{ADGROUP_ID}}&kv_rdt_post={{POST_ID}}&kv_rdt_country={{COUNTRY}}

   In Reddit Ads Manager: Ad group → Ads → Edit ad → Append to destination URL.

3. (For conversions) On the Accounts tab, click Configure Conversions API on an ad account and paste the Pixel ID (a2_…) and Conversion Access Token — from Reddit Events Manager → your pixel → Conversions API → Generate access token. Reddit shows the token only once. Send test event checks it.

4. Choose which events to send in Events & Audiences → Conversions.

What it enables

• Spend — daily, per ad.
• Click attribution — Reddit’s click id (rdt_cid) is captured automatically; the template adds campaign, ad group, ad, post and country.
• Conversions — Purchase, Lead, Sign Up, Add to Cart, Page Visit, custom events and more, per ad account.
• Audiences — sync audiences to Reddit (hashed email); people are removed again when they leave the audience.

Good to know

• Conversions are only sent for people with a Reddit ad click in the attribution window, and only to ad accounts with the Conversions API set up.
• Using the Reddit Pixel too? Use the same conversion_id there so Reddit can deduplicate.
• “Audience permissions needed”? Your connection predates audience support — click Reconnect Reddit.
