Connect Slack
Connecting Slack lets Klarvyn deliver Alerts Hub alerts and scheduled reports — plus system notifications like sync errors — straight into your channels.
Connect (two steps — both matter)
Section titled “Connect (two steps — both matter)”-
In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations, open the Slack card and click Connect with Slack. Approve the OAuth prompt in the popup.
-
Back in the same panel, pick your channels — this step is what actually routes messages:
- System Notification Channels — where sync results and errors are posted (with toggles for Sync Completed and Sync Errors).
- Channel Whitelist (Alerts Hub) — only whitelisted channels appear in the Alerts Hub channel picker for alerts and reports.
-
Click Send Test Message to confirm delivery.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- OAuth alone delivers nothing — until you’ve saved channels, alerts have no destination. The panel warns you about exactly this.
- The two channel lists are independent — whitelisting a channel for alerts doesn’t send sync notifications there, and vice versa.
- Private channels only appear after you invite the bot: in Slack, open
the channel, type
/invite @Klarvyn, then hit Refresh channels. - Slack is delivery-only — nothing flows into Klarvyn from Slack.
- If messages stop and the panel says the token expired, just reconnect.
