Connect X Ads
Connecting X Ads brings your X (Twitter) campaign spend into Klarvyn and sends conversions back. X gates its Ads API behind an approval, so there’s one extra step on X’s side.
-
Make sure your X app has Ads API access. It’s approval-gated: apply at developer.x.com → Products → Ads API with an active X Ads account. If you connect before approval, Klarvyn tells you “Your X app is not approved for the X Ads API yet” (or finds no ad accounts).
-
In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations → X Ads and click Connect X Ads account. Log in and approve access within 15 minutes. Turn on Sync for your ad accounts on the Accounts tab.
-
Add the tracking parameters — by hand. X has no dynamic macros, so copy the string from Link Builder → Paid ads → X Ads and replace each
REPLACE_WITH_…with the real ID before publishing:kv_adid=REPLACE_WITH_AD_ID&kv_x_cid=REPLACE_WITH_CAMPAIGN_ID&kv_x_agid=REPLACE_WITH_ADGROUP_IDAppend it to the ad’s Destination URL (starting with
?). -
Choose which events to send in Events & Audiences → Conversions.
What it enables
Section titled “What it enables”- Spend — daily, per campaign (the billed amount).
- Click attribution — X’s click id (
twclid) is captured automatically; the parameters you add identify campaign, ad group and ad. - Conversions — Purchase, Lead, Sign Up, Add to Cart and more, matched on
twclidor the contact’s email. Klarvyn uses your X pixel (Universal Website Tag), found automatically. - Audiences — sync audiences as X custom audiences (hashed email).
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Plan the URL before you publish — once an ad is live on X, its destination URL can’t be edited; you’d have to recreate the ad.
- Conversions need the X pixel on your account; Klarvyn discovers it automatically.
- Audiences need at least 100 people with an email and advertising consent.
- This integration is newer and depends on X’s Ads API approval — if something doesn’t match X Ads Manager, let us know.
