Connect ThriveCart
Connecting ThriveCart brings your checkout into Klarvyn: every order (with its bumps and upsells), subscription payment, refund and abandoned cart. Klarvyn registers the webhook in ThriveCart for you. On the ThriveCart side you only create an API key and paste the Klarvyn tracking script into your checkout.
-
In ThriveCart, go to Settings → API & Webhooks → ThriveCart API and create an API key. Copy it.
-
In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations, open ThriveCart and paste the API key. Click Connect ThriveCart — the key is validated live and the webhook is registered automatically.
-
(Optional) Paste your Secret word from Settings → API & Webhooks → ThriveCart order validation. Klarvyn then rejects any delivery that doesn’t carry it.
-
Add the Klarvyn tracking script to your ThriveCart checkout. In Klarvyn, copy your snippet from Settings → Install (how). In ThriveCart, open each product you sell and go to Checkout → Tracking, paste the snippet and tick All pages, then save. Repeat for every product (bumps and upsells use the product’s checkout, so they’re covered).
-
Test it: open your checkout through a link with a tracking parameter (for example
?utm_source=test), accept cookies, and place a ThriveCart test order with Include test-mode orders switched on. The order should appear on the contact with that source.
What flows in
Section titled “What flows in”- Abandoned carts create a contact as soon as someone enters their email at checkout — a lead you can attribute even if they never buy.
- Orders become purchases, with the main product, order bumps and upsells as separate line items (they show in the Products report and the profit engine).
- Subscriptions and payment plans — the first payment, every rebill, failed payments and cancellations — land in the Subscriptions view.
- Refunds record negative revenue against the original sale.
How attribution works
Section titled “How attribution works”With the tracking script on the checkout itself, Klarvyn records the visit — including the ad parameters in the checkout link — and picks up the buyer’s email as soon as they type it. When the order arrives, it lands on that same visitor, so attribution works even when your ad links straight to the checkout or your checkout runs on its own domain.
On your other pages, ThriveCart passes extra checkout-URL parameters through to the order. The
Klarvyn tracking script adds the visitor’s id to every link that opens a
ThriveCart checkout (passthrough[kv_link]), and to ThriveCart embedded and
popup checkouts on the same page. When the order arrives, Klarvyn matches it
to that visitor — and their first click — even if the buyer types a different
email than the one they used before.
If no visitor id came through, Klarvyn tries the Meta browser cookie ThriveCart passes along, then the customer’s email.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Custom checkout domains. Links to
*.thrivecart.comare decorated automatically. If ThriveCart runs on your own domain, Klarvyn learns it from the first order placed there and decorates links to it from then on. - No visitor id on the order? ThriveCart passes along the buyer’s Meta
browser cookie (
_fbp). Klarvyn uses it to find the visitor the tracking script saw on the checkout (or on your site, when the checkout shares its root domain); otherwise it falls back to email. - Cookie consent. If your workspace requires consent, the visitor id and
the
_fbpcookie are only recorded once the buyer accepts cookies. Without consent the order is still recorded and matched by email. - Products added later need the snippet in their Checkout → Tracking too — ThriveCart keeps tracking scripts per product.
- Using Stripe too? ThriveCart charges through your Stripe account. While ThriveCart is connected, Klarvyn takes those sales from ThriveCart and skips the copies it sees in Stripe, so revenue isn’t counted twice. Sales you make directly in Stripe are unaffected.
- Test orders are ignored unless you switch on Include test-mode orders — handy for checking your setup with a ThriveCart test purchase. While it’s on, test orders count exactly like real revenue, so switch it off again when you’re done testing.
- Health at a glance. The ThriveCart page shows whether the webhook is registered and how many deliveries arrived in the last 7 days. If something looks off, Re-register webhook fixes most issues.
- Disconnect removes Klarvyn’s webhook from ThriveCart and deletes the stored API key. Recorded data is kept.
