Connect Meta Ads
Connecting Meta Ads brings your Facebook and Instagram campaigns into Klarvyn — spend, creatives and video metrics next to the leads and revenue they actually drove — and sends real conversions back so Meta optimizes on them.
-
In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations → Meta Ads and click Connect Meta Ads account. Log in with Facebook in the popup and approve the permissions.
-
In Set up Meta integration, pick the Business Managers to include (or Personal Access for accounts outside any Business Manager), then the Ad accounts, then optionally the Pages whose Instant Form leads you want. Click Add to workspace.
-
Add the tracking template so every click carries its campaign, ad set and ad. Copy it from Link Builder → Paid ads → Meta (Facebook / Instagram):
kv_adid={{ad.id}}&kv_fb_asid={{adset.id}}&kv_fb_cid={{campaign.id}}&kv_fb_src={{site_source_name}}&kv_fb_placement={{placement}}In Meta Ads Manager, paste it at ad level → Tracking → URL parameters. Meta adds it to the link itself — no full URL needed.
-
Connect a dataset for conversions: on the Accounts tab, click Connect dataset on each ad account and tick the dataset (pixel) it should send to. Klarvyn finds your datasets automatically.
-
Choose which events to send in Events & Audiences → Conversions (for example Lead, Schedule and Purchase).
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”- Campaigns, ad sets and ads — including paused ones, with objective, status, creative type and thumbnails.
- Daily metrics — spend, impressions, clicks, link clicks, CTR, CPC, CPM, plus a placement breakdown (Facebook / Instagram × feed, stories, reels…).
- Video metrics — 3-second views (hook rate), ThruPlays (hold rate) and 25/50/75/100 % watched, used on the Creatives page.
- Instant Form leads — turn on Capture Instant Form leads per Page and new leads become contacts automatically; Sync historical leads backfills older ones.
Spend syncs every 30 minutes while an account is active (less often when it’s idle), and recent days are re-pulled daily so numbers match Meta’s final figures. Need it now? Sync now refreshes immediately (once every 15 minutes). For older history, use Import campaigns on an account (up to 37 months).
Conversions API
Section titled “Conversions API”Conversions go to Meta server-side, so they survive ad blockers and iOS restrictions. The Sending column on the Accounts tab shows whether each account Can send. To check the connection, paste a Test event code from Meta Events Manager on a dataset and click Test — the event shows under Test Events in Events Manager. (Without a test code, the test event counts as a real one.)
No Facebook login available — for example, a client only gave you a Pixel? Use Meta Pixel without a login (Settings tab): add the Pixel / Dataset ID and a Conversions API Access token from Events Manager.
Custom Audiences
Section titled “Custom Audiences”Audiences you build in Events & Audiences sync to Meta as Custom Audiences (hashed email and phone). Only contacts with advertising consent are sent.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- “Finish connecting Meta”? You signed in but didn’t finish picking accounts — click Pick the accounts. An unfinished sign-in expires after 24 hours; until then, conversions keep using the previous connection.
- “No access” on a dataset means no connected login can reach it. Reconnect Meta as someone with access to the dataset in Business Manager, or add it by hand with a Conversions API token.
- Reconnect warnings — if Meta revokes the token, the page shows Needs to be reconnected and conversions are held; after Reconnect, held conversions are re-sent automatically.
- Custom Audience Terms — the first sync may pause with “Custom Audience Terms not accepted”. Click Accept Terms of Service and the sync continues.
- Instant Forms need the leads permission — if you connected before enabling it, disconnect and reconnect Meta to grant access.
- Conversions are only sent for visitors who gave advertising consent.
