Connect Google Ads

Connecting Google Ads brings your Search, Display, YouTube and Performance Max spend into Klarvyn, next to the leads and revenue it actually drove — and sends real conversions back so Google’s bidding optimizes on them.

  1. In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations → Google Ads and click Connect Google Ads account. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your ads and approve access. No developer token needed.

  2. On the Accounts tab, your accounts appear grouped by Google login and manager account (MCC). Turn on Sync for the accounts you use.

  3. Add the tracking template. Copy it from Link Builder → Paid ads → Google Ads (or Settings → URL parameters):

    {lpurl}?kv_adid={creative}&kv_g_cid={campaignid}&kv_g_agid={adgroupid}&kv_g_kw={keyword}&kv_g_mt={matchtype}&kv_g_dev={device}&kv_g_net={network}&kv_g_kwid={targetId}&kv_g_pl={placement}

    Paste it into the Tracking template field in Google Ads — easiest once at account level (Admin → Account settings → Tracking), or per campaign or ad group.

  4. In Events & Audiences → Conversions, add Google Ads to a conversion and pick a Conversion action — or choose Create a new one… and Klarvyn creates it in Google Ads when you save.

  • Spend — daily, per campaign, ad group and ad. Import campaigns on an account backfills up to 12 months.
  • Click attribution — Google’s click ids (gclid, gbraid, wbraid) are captured automatically; the template adds campaign, ad group, ad, keyword, match type, device, network and placement.
  • Conversions — sent as offline click conversions with enhanced-conversion data (hashed email and phone, plus name and postcode when location sending is on), value, currency and order id. They’re sent as the event happens.
  • Audiences — sync audiences as Customer Match lists (email or phone). Google takes a while to match new members.
  • Conversions need a Google click by default. Turn on Send all conversions on the Settings tab to also send conversions without a Google click id (enhanced conversions then match on the hashed contact data).
  • Created a conversion action directly in Google Ads? It appears in Klarvyn’s picker after the next sync.
  • Manager accounts: client accounts directly under an MCC are listed; an account reachable both through an MCC and directly shows Already integrated on the second row.
  • Customer Match requires your Google Ads account to be eligible under Google’s Customer Match policy.
  • With several Google Ads accounts in one workspace, conversions go to one of them — keep conversions on a single account to be safe.
