Connect Microsoft Dynamics 365

Connecting Dynamics 365 lets Klarvyn attribute your opportunities and phone calls back to the campaigns that created them — sign in with Microsoft, no admin setup inside Dynamics.

  1. In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations and open the Microsoft Dynamics 365 card.

  2. Enter your Dynamics environment URL — it looks like https://yourorg.crm4.dynamics.com. Find it in Power Apps → your environment → Settings → Developer resources (the Web API endpoint host). Note that the region is part of the URL (crm4 = Europe).

  3. Click Connect with Microsoft, sign in and approve access.

  4. Review Event Sync Settings: Contacts & Leads, Opportunities and Calls. Keep Contacts & Leads enabled — opportunities and calls are matched to contacts through it.

  5. Create or update a test contact in Dynamics — it appears in Contacts within a couple of minutes.

  • Contacts and leads become contacts (created and updated).
  • Opportunities feed attribution and reports — creation, status-reason changes and won/lost, with the actual (or estimated) value.
  • Completed phone-call activities become call events on the contact.

Klarvyn polls your Dynamics environment for changes every couple of minutes — expect a short delay rather than instant updates.

  • The sync is forward-looking. Existing records appear once they’re next modified in Dynamics; there is no historical import.
  • Won/lost follows the opportunity’s real status. Use the Close Opportunity as Won/Lost action — setting Forecast category to “Won” is not the same thing and won’t register.
  • Opportunities need a contact. Klarvyn uses the opportunity’s contact (or a contact-type customer). Opportunities tied only to an account are skipped.
  • Phone calls need a lead or contact in the Regarding field — calls regarding an account or opportunity can’t be tied to a person.
  • Contacts need an email or a phone number. Records with neither are skipped.
  • Disconnect anytime — syncing stops, recorded data is kept, and reconnecting resumes where it left off.
