Connect NMI

Connecting NMI brings your gateway’s payments, subscriptions and refunds into Klarvyn. Klarvyn pulls transactions automatically — no webhook, gateway ID or signing key needed to get started.

  1. Log in to your NMI merchant portal as an admin and go to Settings → Security Keys → Add a New Private Key. Name it “Klarvyn”, keep the Query/reporting permission, and copy the key.

  2. In Klarvyn, go to Settings → Integrations, open the NMI card and paste the Security Key. Click Connect NMI — the key is validated live before it’s stored.

  3. That’s it: recent sales appear within ~2 minutes, and Klarvyn backfills the last 30 days automatically.

  4. (Optional) Want real-time delivery on top of the 2-minute pull? Open Advanced, copy the webhook URL into NMI (Settings → Webhooks) and paste the signing key NMI shows you back into Klarvyn.

  • Payments become purchases; refunds and chargebacks record negative revenue.
  • Subscriptions — started, renewed, trials, cancellations and reactivations — land in the Subscriptions view with MRR.
  • Customers become contacts, matched or created by email.
  • Attribution runs through the contact. NMI transactions carry no ad-click data, so a payment attributes via the contact’s tracked journey — the tracking script (and your forms/booking tools) do the stitching before the payment arrives.
  • Transactions without an email are skipped — make sure your checkout passes the customer email to NMI.
  • Watch for the red banner. If webhooks arrive but signatures fail (wrong signing key), events aren’t recorded — re-copy the signing key from NMI and save. The automatic pull keeps working regardless.
  • The Security Key needs Query/reporting permission and must be created by an admin user, or validation fails at connect.
  • Disconnect stops processing and wipes stored keys, but NMI keeps sending webhooks until you also delete the endpoint in the NMI portal — Klarvyn safely ignores them in the meantime. Recorded data is kept.
